The Stroud's invited us to go watch the retirement of the Macey's flag with them. I
thought the kids would enjoy this, and they did once all of the speakers were finished.
It was really hard to hear from where we were so it was hard for them to sit quietly and
patiently. Kel wore his scout shirt so he was able to go down and help carry all of the
old flags to the fire. It's so awesome to be able to see your own kids participate in events
like this.
They could feel the fire from where we were
and it was already too hot.
Kel waiting to help carry the flags.
The soldiers burning the Macey's flag. What an amazing moment!

Your pictures turned out so cute! I didn't get a single one that turned out with all the kids. So bummed! I'm glad you guys went with us (even tho everyone around us thought we were mean moms-little do they know, j/k!)
Hey, we went to this also. I am hoping to blog it but I get a little behind in the whole blogging thing. Anyway, wasn't it just amazing? I loved it.
Hey Jeanine...I found the instructions to adding a picture to the top of your blog, I don't know if you are even still needing it, but just incase...here it is!!
•Go to customize
•Click on “Edit” in the header section.
•Where it says “Image – From Your Computer”, click “Browse”
•Find your picture.
•If you want the image to appear behind your title, choose “Behind Title and Description”
