Gray hairs...

Today my sister decided to start pulling out my gray hairs...yes, I have a few. Anyway, Sydnie
asked with a surprised expression, "you have gray hairs?" I answered her with a "yes" and they are because of you kids. Later that evening she and Taya were running around the table while eating dinner and I told them they needed to stop. Taya says to me, "I can if I want" to which Sydnie replied, "Taya, you just gave mom another gray hair!"
At least she really believes they are the reason I'm going gray. It's amazing that I'm not completely gray already!!

Photo tag...

You take your 4th photo in your 4th file and send it to 4 friends...
It looks to me like this deer is going to surprise
Danny and bite him in the bum! Wouldn't that be funny?!

HALLOWEEN...

Don't we all just love halloween!? Getting them ready,
all the paint and hairspray and work, and for an hour of
trick or treating...ugh!! Actually I love halloween but by
the time it's over I'm usually sick of it. This year Kel was
the grim reaper, Sydnie was Spiderella, Kian was the Gatekeeper
and Taya was a pirate.

Even Celi came out and dressed up with Taya.

Shane's kids came out to trick or treat with us too. All in all
it was a good time.

Nice shiner!!

You would think that moving into
a new neighborhood the kids would
make new friends, not enemies.
Not really, Kian was actually
playing with the new neighbor and
he was swinging and iron rod trying
to swat moths. Kian's face just
got in the way. It didn't look
bad when it first happened, but
when he woke up in the morning it
was nice and black. He's pretty
proud of his first black eye.

the results!!

Something to be proud of!! This is one thing they actually work hard at. If only they worked that
hard doing chores!

Pumpkin Carving

Every year it has of course become tradition to
carve pumpkins for halloween. The best part
is the older they get the more independent they
are. Even Taya did alot of her carving alone. You
gotta love the mess it makes too... we need to
switch to painting them!

My brother and me

We were at Chucky Cheese for Ashen's birthday
and they have that quick pic thing. Anyway,
Shane and I decided to take a picture. We were
trying to hide our double chins and not move and
wait cuz it takes forever. Needless to say, we
were laughing so hard that I couldn't hold still
and if you look, oh there it is, my double chin.
Whatever, ok so what?! Anyway, I decided to
add the other two pictures because since he's
single and my husband is always gone, we're
together alot.

Who is that?

Danny will quite possibly take my life when he
see's this, but I can't help myself. My mom has
some old wigs from my aunts and Danny thought
it would be fun to try them on with different hats.
So now we know what he would look like with
curls.

Brown baby

The other day we were walking through the baby stuff at the store and out of nowhere Taya says, "I think this baby can be a brown baby, huh mom." I about died laughing and of course replied with a "yes." So that evening we were sitting outside with Tara, Malissa and Randi and Taya had put on a jacket that doesn't fit anymore. I told her that after we find out we're having a boy, that she should give the jacket to Micah. Taya then replied, "I'm giving my stuff to the brown baby." Once again I was just laughing. So the next evening I was on Old Navy.com looking at clothes for her and there was a cute picture of a little black girl. My hysterical little Taya says, " are you trying to find a brown baby?" I mean how funny is that? She thinks that we just pick out the one that we want and that's what we'll get. If only we could pick... I would have some perfect children as far as attitudes go.

Lagoon!!!

I have no idea what their faces are for cuz they
sure thought the ride was awesome. I guess they
were nervous about the seat belts.

Taya thought the bumper cars were cool until
she couldn't figure out how to make them go.

And yes, even I got to ride on some rides.
All in all it was a great day at Lagoon... all except
for the heat!

First day of school

Kel and Sydnie gave me the curtious
picture cuz they were not thrilled
at all to be going back to school.

Kian's first day of kindergarten!!

He had to pick his own outfit for
beach day.

He was really nervous at first, but he put
on his tough face and did it. After he started
doing all of his assignments he found it was
pretty fun.

Outing with friends

Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I had to
use my phone that takes terrible pictures.

Our neighbors and us decided to go up hobble
creek canyon fora barbeque. The kids got to play
in the creek and some of the parents too. We're so
lucky to have such fun close neighbors that we can
enjoy spending time with!

Pack night

Last Thursday was pack night and
Kel got to lead us all in the
pledge of allegiance and posting
of the colors. It was just cute!!

Kel has worked really hard and he
received his wolf badge.

Of course, the moms get a pin too
and he managed to not poke me...
thanks Kel.

Dinosuar Museum

Tiffany and I decided to be awesome moms
and take our kids to the dinosaur museum.
I have to admit that I have no idea what they
are all checking out, but my guess would be
some kind of fossil.

One of the many things to check out...fish.
My kids love to watch fish, even when we go
to Walmart.

We all got to climb through the huge cave
together. The end of it is right behind us.

The sand and water probably the least favorite
for the parents but the funnest for the kids.

Twilight...

Yes we are Stephenie Meyer fans and
yes we are a few of the crazy ladies
who went at midnight to claim our books
"Breaking dawn." There were over 800
people there. Luckily for us, Dave Stroud
stood in line to get us wristbands. We
were in the two hundreds. So thank you
thank you Dave!!

We did at least bring our chairs so we
didn't have to stand... we know where
our spot in line is!

Finally, what we had waited so long for...
our books!!

Neighbor night

If you look outside on a Sunday evening around 6:30pm, you'll see us all gathered on someone's
driveway or in this case (it was raining) a garage. We all get together and bring out a yummy dessert to share with eachother and spend an hour or two visiting.

I think the kids look forward to this more
than the adults!

And you never know who's going to show up. It might be the crazy lady with the head piece, or
the brother and sister you hooked up who are now in love... who knew!
